NYC Cookies: 15 Cases of Tim Tams at Tuck Shop RIGHT NOW!
November 20, 2008
On the seventh day, the Lord rested. … and made Tim Tams. Go to the Tuck Shop, Manhattan’s best and only Australian bake shop, immediately and buy Tim Tams. Fifteen cases just arrived and they’re going fast. For those of you who are late to the party, Tim Tams are the best packaged cookie ever made. I liken the taste to chocolate EL Fudge cookies filled with silky chocolate and dipped in milk chocolate.
Australian Packaging, Worldly Deliciousness
You haven’t heard of them because they’re Australian, which only makes them more awesome. But now, Pepperidge Farm is selling Tim Tams at Target stores until March 2009, which means we only have 5 months to stock up on Tim Tams and tell Pepperidge Farm we want them to stay. Good thing for us, Tuck Shop, on 1st Street between 1st & 2nd Avenue, is selling Tim Tams FOREVER! I’ve introduced them to at least a dozen people in the last few weeks and everyone says they’re delicious.
Australia & America, Together At Last
Amazingly, Tim Tams are not even the most delicious dessert at Tuck Shop, where they specialize in Australian street food (nothing like the Halal Guys). In fact, two of the best desserts I’ve ever had can only be found at Tuck Shop: Lamingtons and Vanilla Slice. Click here for even MORE deliciousness.
Tuck Shop – 68 East 1st Street between 1st & 2nd Avenue, NY, NY 10003 (212) 979-5200 Hours: Monday – Wednesday 8AM – 12AM, Thursday 8AM – 2AM, Friday – Saturday 8AM – 5AM, Sunday 8AM – 10PM

How excited am I to try these Tim Tams?? You can only imagine. Last weekend, it was all about Momofuku. This weekend, it’s all Tuck Shop.

Eating in Translation,
Mr. Cook, no Tim Tams at the 49th Street location, only at the 1st street shop. How you been man? What’s the best meal you’ve had lately? Your reviews are great by the way.
HungryguyAU,
YES! Another convert. That’s what I like to hear. What did you drink?
Sweet Freak,
How was Momofuku? I can’t wait to hear your reviews of Tuck Shop.

I’ve been hitting Target on a regular basis since their arrival. Yesterday they were 2 for $5!
I’m planning on stocking up but I seem to be going through them way faster than I should be! 🙁

[…] Lawrence tipped me off to a new shipment of authentic Australian Arnott’s Tim Tams at the Tuck Shop so I immediately went over to pick up a pack. As of about 8PM last night, there were still quite a lot left in the shop, but knowing the popularity of these chocolate biscuits, I wouldn’t wait too long to go get ‘em. […]

Erica,
Nice work out of you. That’s what I like to hear. Where else do you like to eat dessert in the city? Are you living in Manhattan now?
Kristen,

Ambitious,
Thanks for stopping by to say hello. The Pepperidge Farm Cookies really are as good as the Australian version. What else do you get at Tuck Shop?

NYCFG, I managed to rock some classic and caramel Tim Tams (the Pepperidge Farm kind) at a Target in Syracuse, NY over the holidays. They were on sale 2 for $5, although I didn’t get the “tim-tam-slam” going on. They were mighty good. Reminded me of the Keebler Fudge Covered Grahams I used to pilfer from my Grandma’s cookie jar when she wasn’t looking. The Tams are way better though! Thanks for the heads up!

Bill,
Tim Tam Slam. Do it. You said it about Keebler, I think they taste like the EL Fudge.

Does anyone know where I can get Pods made by Mars?
thanks
February 13th, 2009 at 5:18 am
Stephanie,
Tell me more about Pods. What are they?
March 13th, 2009 at 7:41 am
Hi! I’m from Australia. TimTams are awesome =) I blog about them all the time. I didn’t realise only Australia had them.
As to Pods, they’re little biscuit pieces in a conical shape, filled with different chocolate. Mars and Twix are the best ones.
This is an interesting blog, 🙂
March 13th, 2009 at 11:56 pm
I like the snickers flavored pods.
March 16th, 2009 at 5:57 pm
Lizii & Stephanie,
Sounds like it’s time to get me some Pods. Can I find them in the US? It’s a conical Mars or Twix bar? Thats out of control. Thanks for the kind words Lizii.
March 16th, 2009 at 11:19 pm
I haven’t been able to find them here in the US but am still holding out hope.

Tim Tams have been in Walgreens in NYC for a few months now, at least the 23rd & Park location.

Jesus Christ on a crutch, are you people for real?! These are shitty mass produced cookie/candy bars. Get a grip.

Good to hear so many people are getting into an Australian goodie! Tim Tams really are the food of greater beings on earth haha, best damn biscuits we have to offer 🙂
December 14th, 2010 at 12:01 pm
dont knock em til you’ve tried em
there is nothing quite like a tim tam
we had a tv ad here where a chick finds a lamp
and rubs it and a genie pops out
she gets 3 wishes
3rd wish is a packet of tim tams that never runs out
phenominal biscuits in Australia!

March 17th, 2015 at 12:15 am
So the great Australian tradition is to bite off of each end of the Tim Tam and then suck your coffee through the biscuit. Go try it.
