Dram Shop may not have the best burger in Brooklyn, but after a few beers, this double-square patty mini monster does the job. The thin, griddled patties can’t be cooked to order but all love is not lost. Lettuce, tomato, chopped onion, dill pickle slices, mayo, mustard and a squishy sesame seed bun make for the flavor profile of a gourmet Big Mac. Is the bacon overkill? Yes. But that’s why they call it food porn.

I have to disagree, respectfully, of course. Dram Shop makes an excellent burger. I would need to go back to elaborate further, so this post may be a waste of everyone’s time, but, for a thin patty burger, I think its the way to go. Also, their fried cheese balls are divine.

Ohhh Foodguy… Surely you can’t be everywhere at once, and it’s good you got out to Da’ Slope, but us locals have been mowin down Dram shop burgers for some time now, and I too have to disagree that you’d consider even knocking this down a notch. It’s better than Bonnie’s, better than the jivey burger joint on 9th and 7th ave, better than waterfront ale house on Atlantic, certainly equal to five guys, so for local spots I’d argue it’s right up there close to the top!
And while it may not have been the driving force behind your visit, it’s a bit of poor form to overlook mentioning just why they’re aptly named; A killer scotch, and bourbon selection, not to mention the great, and varied beer selection too!

i totally forgot i posted about dram shop – i stick by my original review. the dram shop burger still kicks a whole bunch of ass. i will retract my comment on the fried mac n cheese balls – i always get them and wish they were better .
