Janine,
Cake in a cup is exactly what it sounds like. A slice of delicious cake jammed into a plastic cup essentially rendering it into a pudding if you mush it around a bit. It's like they say, "Does it really matter what it looks like? It's delicious and it all goes to the same place."

Stevenp,
Only one question? Did you try to Ooey Gooey? Because if you noticed, that's the only cupcake I mention and that's for a good reason. I pretty much detest buttercream frosting, to me it's just wasted calories (weird to hear me say that, huh?). Ooey Gooey has almond buttercream frosting which is a deliciously different beast. I love marzipan so this reminds me of that, that sweet nuttiness. The pumpkin cupcake is also pretty righteous and that has cream cheese frosting. So maybe the key at sugar Sweet sunshine is to steer clear of ordinary buttercream if you already know you don't love it.

All I can say is "meh." Never tried their pudding, but their cupcakes were average at best (from the LES shop). I was expecting better, but smallish cupcakes with average buttercream frosting (which is NOT so hard to make well!) and they were way overpriced. I can (and have) made cupcakes that are better at home, for a fraction of the price and with just as interesting flavors. (OK, I'm still partial to my tequila-lime frosting!) I'll pass on this one.
