However, a Christmas feast in merrye olde Englande could have been a quail in a pigeon in a woodcock in a pheasant in a duck in goose in a swan in a turkey... or similar. the bacon just basts the meat and stops it drying out...

Check out UK chef Hugh Firnley-Whittingstall&#039;s recipe as shown on British Tv just before Christmas. He did a mediaeval banquet which fed a cast of thousands.... healthy ? You decide.
