Apple Pan is worth it, they stick to the basics. Tommy's is worth it but go to the Beverly Road location which intersects off Rampart, that is there original store. There is a knock off of Tommy's called Tomboy's which is actually excellent and is in Santa Monica near Father's Office. Windmill makes a gigantic griddled hot dog, its a lot like a place called Syd's which is also in North Jersey, they have several locations all over.
