Levain Bakery = Crazy Delicious

By The NYC Food Guy

If you haven’t tried Levain Bakery’s Cookies, you haven’t lived. The chocolate chip walnut is the best cookie I’ve ever had and it’s the best $3.75 you can spend in this city. If things are slow in the small shop on 74th Street off Amsterdam Avenue, ask them to toss it back in the oven for a minute, these are best when eaten warm. More delicious pics here.

I was super disappointed by this cookie. Sorry foodguy. Maybe my expectations were too high after I read your review. The cookie wasn’t bad or anything, but it didn’t taste spectacular to me. The store smelled great and the cookie did too as I walked out with it. But when I bit into the warm cookie, it tasted just like any other cookie. You’re gonna hate me for this comment, but it was almost comparable to the Pillsbury ones I pop in the oven for 10 mins.

    mrburns,

Can you point me towards a cookie that’s more delicious?
