Mr. Allen,

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who was totally disappointed by the Cheesy Beefy Melt. Obviously the commercials for it were a huge jump from reality but I was still intrigued.

The only menu item truly worth clamoring for at TBell is the Cheesy Gordita Crunch. Your thoughts?

What's your go to meal at Taco Bell?

Your site is awesome by the way, have you seen my write up on the Wendy's Spicy Baconator?

I totally agree about the Cheesy Beefy Melt. And not only is sour cream the most prevalent, it's not even that-good of sour cream to begin with.

The pictures in food ads are usually taken at the Fantasy Island store locations, but this one is especially silly. Good Lord, look at that thing. Ha!

Btw NYCFG, Taco Bell has just launched a new value menu, with .79 .89 and .99 cent items. They have added a special page on their website with details.

Tony,

Great link. Onion is hilarious. T-Bell is a joke but at 3AM in the college days, it was a godsend. I'd rather eat T-Bell than Subway. The Cheesy Gordita Crunch is pretty damn tasty. I try to stay away from fast food, however, unless there's some new intriguing product e.g. the Wendy's Spicy Baconator, which was truly painful. What are your thoughts? Are you a T-Bell/fast food fan?

Danny,

Thanks dude. Like I told Dan above, for the love of the game. Don't think I forgot about our run to Artichoke and East Village food tour part 2.

Whenever Taco Bell has a new product, I am always reminded of this article from the Onion a decade ago:

Taco Bell's Five Ingredients Combined In Totally New Way

Dan,

Ha. It's all for the love of the game. After seeing that commercial as many times as I did, I had to try it.

Thanks for the perilla info. We'll adjust appropriately.
